Today, the number of Married Couples who have no children of their own is increasing rapidly. This is the biggest sorrow for them, to overcome which they adopt various methods. But, when they do not get any benefit from all the methods, then they start looking for some better way. In this case, IVF can prove to be very helpful for them, but they are unable to take advantage of it due to their lack of complete knowledge about it. For this reason, we all should be aware of it so that no person is deprived of child happiness.

What is IVF?

The full form of IVF is in vitro fertilization, in which the male sperm and the egg of the woman are mixed in the lab and inserted into the uterus of that woman who wants to become a mother via IVF.

When IVF is suggested to a couple?

A specialist recommends the IVF procedure to those people who have these 5 Health Problems-

  • Blockage in fallopian tubes – IVF is performed in the condition when a blockage occurs in a woman’s fallopian tubes.
  • Male infertility- Often, the reason for a married couple not to become parents is also male infertility. Even in this situation, IVF may prove to be a better option.
  • Suffering from PCOS- If a woman has PCOS disease and if she wants to become a mother, then she can adopt IVF.
  • Having a genetic disease- Genetic disease is also the reason for a person to be deprived of a baby. Such people need not get upset as they can become parents from IVF.
  • The exact cause of infertility is not known – many cases also arise in which the exact cause of infertility is not known. For this reason, IVF is also used to detect the cause of infertility.

How much does IVF cost?

When a Married Couple accepts that they have to undergo IVF, the first question that comes to their mind is How much does IVF cost. They need to know as it affects their economic condition. There are many such cases in which people do not get treatment of IVF as they find it expensive. In such a situation, they should know that it is very affordable for them to get IVF, which they can get from Rs 1,50,000 to 300000.

Process of in vitro fertilization

IVF is performed in Cycles. A cycle consists of many steps, some of which are as follows-

  • Stimulating Ovary – IVF begins with stimulating the ovary. This is done so that the ovary can prepare for this process.
  • Retrieval egg – The egg is retrieval by stimulating the ovary. Scientifically, it is believed that a sufficient amount of egg is needed for any woman to conceive a baby.
  • Making the embryo- After retrieval of the egg, the embryo is made. It is made by mixing egg and sperm in the lab.
  • Transfer the fetus- The embryo created in the lab is transferred to the uterus of the woman who wants the child.
  • Pregnancy test- The pregnancy test is done after some time after transferring the fetus to the woman’s uterus. This is done so that the IVF process is successful or not.

What are the benefits of IVF?

  • The success rate of IVF is much better, which depends on the age of the woman. It is believed that the lower the age of a woman who undergoes IVF, the higher her chances of becoming pregnant.
  • The benefit of IVF is not limited to women only, but it can also be availed by Surrogate mothers, Gay Couples, single women, etc.
  • At the present time, many women have to face miscarriage. However, its potential can be reduced to a great extent with IVF.
